DURHAM, North Carolina – Guests heading to Duke University West Campus on Saturday, November 27e should be aware of the following parking and traffic alerts for the Duke Football game against Miami at 12:30 p.m. at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium and the third round of the NCAA Men’s Soccer Championship featuring Duke Men’s Soccer vs. Saint Louis . Please review the information below and allow extra time for your travels to avoid delays.

DUKE FOOTBALL TRAFFIC ALERTS

Traffic control points – For all Duke Football home games, checkpoints are installed on the roads surrounding the campus to keep only the necessary traffic on the interior roads of the campus. Checkpoints will become active at 9:30 am. All Iron Duke football parking permit holders must have their permit hung from their mirrors on approach to access these checkpoints and their designated grounds.

Checkpoints are located at the following intersections:

  • NC 751 / Cameron Blvd. and Science Drive
  • NC 751 / Cameron Blvd. and Duke University Road
  • Circuit Drive and Towerview Road

NC 751 / Cameron Blvd. Traffic patterns – To help reduce congestion and delays on NC 751 / Cameron Blvd. Upon arriving on campus, please review the following routes and lane assignments:

  • Traveling south on NC 751 (approaching campus from exit 107 of US-15/501):
    • General public car park – Turn left onto Erwin Road
    • Iron Duke Parking Permit – Use left lane after intersection with Erwin Road
    • Parking accessible to the general public – Use the left lane after the Erwin road intersection
    • Transit traffic – Use the right lane
  • Traveling north on NC 751 (approaching campus from Academy Road):
    • Iron Duke Parking Permit – Use Right Lane
    • General public parking – Turn right onto Duke University Road
    • Transit traffic – Use the left lane
    • General Public Parking – Use the left lane until you pass the Science Drive garage; Turn right onto Erwin Road

Closure of Towerview Road from Card Gym Lot to Towerview Roundabout – Due to high foot traffic, Towerview Road will be closed from the Card Gym Lot entrance to the Wannamaker Drive roundabout. The closing will start at 9:30 a.m. and end at 4:30 p.m.

One-way traffic from Frank Bassett Drive to Grounds Lot – Due to carpooling operations, Frank Bassett Drive will be one-way from entering Science Drive to exiting at Grounds Lot starting at 9:30 am. All holders of an Iron Duke football parking permit for the field are encouraged to enter and exit the field through NC 751 / Cameron Blvd. to avoid carpooling traffic.

Iron Duke parking lot in Science Drive garage entrance / exit at NC 751 / Cameron Blvd. – All Iron Duke Football Parking Permit holders for the Science Drive Garage (SDG and STAFF) must enter and exit the garage via NC 751 / Cameron Blvd. (GPS address: 3100, boulevard Cameron).

FOOTBALL PARKING INFORMATION

Parking Iron Duke – All Iron Duke Football car parks will open at 6:00 a.m. Iron Duke Football parking permits must be scanned and displayed to access the designated field.

FREE General Public Parking – All full-size vehicles park FREE in our general public parking lots for football match days. Each lot has been assigned a color-coded area to help customers identify their parking spot on match day.

Early General Public Park & ​​Walk Lots open at 7:00 am – the jogging ground on NC 751 / Cameron Blvd. (Pink Zone) and Chemistry Bundle (Purple Zone). PARKING IS FREE.

Other public parks and parkways open at 9:30 a.m. – Circuits on Circuit Drive (purple area) with overflow to Research Drive Garage (RDG) on Research Drive. PARKING IS FREE.

Park-and-ride lots (yellow zone) open at 9:30 a.m. – GC Lot with overflow to H Lot on Yearby Avenue. PARKING IS FREE. Courtesy shuttles run every 15 to 20 minutes between these lots and Duke Chapel. All courtesy shuttles are equipped with elevators to help people with disabilities.

Parking accessible to the general public – Accessible parking is located in Blue Zone Lots B-2 and B-4 on Wannamaker Drive, off Duke University Road. Blue Zone B-2 will open at 6:00 a.m. and B-4 will open at 9:30 a.m. Accessible van service with elevator will begin at 9:30 am PARKING IS FREE.

An accessible drop-off / pick-up point is available outside the Wilson Gate at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium in Blue Zone Lot B-5 off Wannamaker Drive. After dropping off guests, vehicles must proceed to Lots B-2 or B-4 for match day parking.

In designated general public parking lots in the Blue Zone and outside the stadium gates, designated pickup points for accessible vans are available. Look for the bright orange tents in the Blue Zone (B-2, B-4, B-6, B-7 Lots) and outside Wilson Gate (East Lobby), at Whitford Drive Circle (Duke Ticket Office , Bostock Gate, Tribull Plaza and North Lobby) and Grounds Lot bus stop (Powers Gate, Blue Devil Tower, West Lobby). Each pick-up point will provide seating and information signage with the location of DUACCESS SMS requests. To request an accessible van at a designated pickup point or for assistance from another parking lot on match day, text “DUACCESS” to 919-808-5576 with the request, location and number of ‘guests. (Example: “DUACCESS Van, Lot B-2, 4 Guests”). Customers can also speak to the parking attendant for assistance. Please note that vans run on call and may take 15 minutes or more to arrive depending on game day traffic.

RV / OV parking – is located in lot GC on Avenue Yearby. The RV / OV Lot will be open on Friday November 26e for early parking from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, November 27e at 7:00 a.m. There is a $ 50 charge for parking – ONLINE SALE ONLY (including on the field on game day). RV / OV permits can also be purchased at parking.duke.edu/visitor/athletic/football/rv-parking-permits. All vehicles must be collected by Sunday November 28e at noon (12h00).

Bus parking – Buses that drop / pick up guests and park for the match (i.e. without tailgating, etc.) will park at Duke University Road 2 Lot free of charge. Buses that accommodate group hatches, etc. will be considered Recreational / Oversized (RV / OV) vehicles and will need to purchase an RV / OV license for the GC lot (see information above). A drop-off / pick-up point for all buses is available at the roundabout on Towerview Road. For more information, see the football match day parking and bus traffic map.

Carpooling / Taxi information – Use carpooling and get dropped off right in front of the Powers Gate! Frank Bassett Drive has been designated as the drop-off / pick-up location for carpooling services with logos visible. Frank Bassett Drive is accessible from NC 751 / Cameron Blvd. to Science Drive – there is no access from the field. Services attempting to drop off / pick up at other locations near the stadium will be refused entry and will be directed to that location. There is no match day parking at this location – 20 minute drop-off / pick-up area only.

NCAA MEN’S SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP TRAFFIC INFORMATION

Limited access to the campus from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. – Guests attending the 7:00 p.m. NCAA Men’s Soccer Championship Round 3 should be aware that between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. access to the Duke University West Campus will only be available through the NC intersection. 751 / Cameron Blvd. and Science Drive due to Duke Football post-game traffic (GPS address: 3000 Cameron Blvd.). After 5:00 p.m., access to the campus will be available through any intersection.

NCAA MEN’S SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP PARKING INFORMATION

General public parking – will be available on a first come, first served basis in the field off Frank Bassett Drive adjacent to Science Drive starting at 5:00 PM. Parking will be extremely limited before 5:00 p.m. due to the Duke Football game. There will be no charge for parking on match days.

Parking accessible to the general public – will be available in the Whitford Lot on Whitford Drive next to Science Drive from 5:00 p.m. Parking will be extremely limited before 5:00 p.m. due to the Duke Football game.

An accessible drop-off and pick-up point for Koskinen Stadium is available inside the Whitford Lot at the pedestrian crossing on Whitford Drive outside the Brandaleone Family North Gate at Koskinen Stadium. Customers should speak to the parking attendant for assistance.
