Former Blue Devil Maurides selected for The Athletic’s 40 Under 40

DURHAM- Ancient Duke Football Letterman Zach Maurides was appointed to Athleticism‘s 40 Under 40 in college sports.

The inaugural list recognizes top young coaches, players, executives and influencers who are changing the college landscape.

Maurides, 37, played along the Blue Devils offensive line in the mid-2000s and is the founder and CEO of Teamworks, a platform used by professional and collegiate sports teams to streamline and optimize workflow and daily communications.

During his playing days at Durham, he created an app so that football coaches and players at Duke could disseminate information more efficiently. In 2009, he founded Teamworks to turn the concept into a business.

The company has since grown and works with 315 Division I programs (including all Power 5 schools), 27 NFL teams, 22 NHL teams, 15 MLB teams, 11 NBA teams, 10 MLS teams and 6 English Premier League teams.

In 2020, Teamworks merged with INFLCR, one of NIL’s most popular platforms for athletes, and earlier this summer Teamworks raised $50 million in Series D funding.
