Elddis Transport has obtained approval for new storage and distribution space after the recent acquisition of the former GT Engineering site in Delves Lane, Consett.
The plans, worth nearly £ 1.5million, will secure additional on-site capacity for its warehouse operations and see the installation of a new roof, access doors and a improved parking, as well as refurbished offices and the addition of new dedicated training and meeting rooms. .
The news follows approval earlier this summer for Elddis to continue plans for a new permanent commercial truck and trailer park at Newton Aycliffe on land off Jowett Way, which provides access to shopping centers. local transport and to the main A1M.
