Beguinet announces the 2022 fencing slate

DURHAM- Duke Fencing Head Coach Alex Beguinet announced the 2022 competition schedule on Monday. The spring slate features four regular-season fixtures, including the annual home meeting. Duke will also serve as the host site for the ACC Championship.

The men and women will kick off the 2022 season on Jan. 16 at the Penn State Duals before returning to Pennsylvania State for the Philadelphia Invitational on Jan. 22, hosted by UPenn. The Blue Devils will close January at the Eric Sollee Invitational on January 30 in Cambridge, Mass.

The Blue Devils will kick off February with the annual Duke Meet to compete in front of their home crowd on February 12-13.

Duke will then turn its attention to the playoffs beginning with hosting the ACC Championship on Feb. 26-27 at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

In 2021, the Blue Devils swept the ACC tag team titles and won a program record 11 individual medals as Duke won five of six solo crowns.

Next on Duke’s qualifying slate will be the NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Regional on March 12.

The 2022 campaign will conclude at the NCAA Championship from March 24-27, hosted by Notre Dame. Eight of Duke’s 10 national qualifiers in 2021 return this season and all earned All-America accolades a season ago.
