DURHAM, NC — North Carolina opens the outdoor track and field playoffs Thursday at the Atlantic Coast Conference Championships, hosted by Duke.
The action begins at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Morris Williams Stadium with the men’s hammerhead competition. The event continues throughout the day on Friday and concludes with the relay finals on Saturday evening.

from carolina Jill Shippee, who holds the ACC record in women’s hammer, will look to defend her 2021 title in this event. Six more returning Tar Heels who won medals in individual events at the 2021 ACC Outdoor Championships last season in Raleigh will look to find their way back to the podium this weekend.
